Johnny Express Original Instructions

Basic Trailer Instructions - Here is a scan of an original instruction set that came with the basic cab and trailer set.

Tire Kit Instructions - A scan of the instructions that were provided for the kit that included the spare tire rack, mud flaps, wrench, jack and spare lug nut.

Crane Instructions - The AEP website was provided with this scan some time ago, check it out.

Dump Body Instructions - The dump body attachment is definitely a cool accessory, here are the instructions for it.

Liquid Tanker Instructions - I'd have to say my favorite accessory is the tanker, you can see how everything is supposed to go together - and what is the correct orientation for the level gauge.

Reefer Van Instructions - I guess these instructions were useful for advising kids on how to remove the "artic air" unit from the van before installation.

Forklift Instructions - Hey, if anybody is missing the red knob that turns the screw to make the lift go up and down - the AEP site makes that replication - check out the Johnny Express Parts list.

Conveyor Instructions - Not really much to do in the way of assembly for this accessory, but here are the instructions.

Horn And Light Kit Instructions - Possibly the most sought after Johnny Express accessory for the cab, here is a scan of an original instruction sheet.

Cargo Instructions - Mic from Ohio provided copies of both the Cargo Instructions and the Pontoon Bridge Instructions to the AEP Website, thanks Mic! The Cargo Instructions have been enlarged to print out on an 8.5" X 11" sheet of paper.

Bridge Instructions - Like the Cargo Instructions, the Bridge Instructions are a pretty high resolution scan that can be printed out on an 8.5" X 11" sheet of paper.

Troop Carrier Instructions - Stan from Pennsylvania provided copies of both the Troop Carrier Instructions and the Pipe Kit Instructions, thanks Stan! The Troop Carrier Instructions are a pristine scan that can be printed out on an 8.5" X 11" sheet of paper.

Pipe Kit Instructions - Like the Troop Carrier Instructions, the Pipe Kit Instructions are a pristine scan that can be printed out on an 8.5" X 11" sheet of paper.

Storage Tank Instructions - Here is a scan of the Grey Storage Holding Tank Instructions.

Sears Catalog Ad - Here is a scan of a Sears Catalog Ad that shows Johnny Express and most of the accessories.

JC Penney Catalog Ad - Check out this scan of a 1967 JC Penney Catalog page featuring Johnny Express and many of the accessories.

Topper Toys Publication 1 - Part 1 of a scan of an original "signature" Topper Toys publication for Johnny Express. This is probably most famous for showing the 200 pound guy standing on the trailer unit, and of course when I got my Johnny Express for Christmas over 40 years ago - the first thing I did was stand on the trailer unit.

Topper Toys Publication 2 - Part 2 of the preceding item, note that the spare tire racks on the vehicles in the pictures are red and the liquid tanker had chrome parts in the publication. As with Part 1 of the publication, these should be able to be printed out on 11" X 17" printers OK.

Original Johnny Express Cardboard Fold-Out Display - P.A. from Tennessee sent us a home photo of an original Johnny Express Cardboard Toy Display. I believe he said this thing is over 40" high, check it out.

If you have any scans that are of better quality than the ones already on this web page, please Email the AEP website a copy and we will post them. Thank you.
